Liverpool Bits with specialist mouthpieces

The Liverpool is the most common bit used for carriage driving. All our Liverpool Bits are supplied with a curb chain - some have been omitted from the photographs below for clarity. All the bits shown on this page are made in England by the same manufacturer that supplies Abbey Saddlery.

Most of the bits shown in the photographs are 5.1/2", as this is the most popular size, for other widths the overall proportions of the bits will differ. Please note that not all mouthpieces are available in smaller sizes. Bits up to 4.3/4" are normally supplied with pony size cheeks, 5" to 6" have medium cheeks and over 6" have large cheeks.
